According to Dave Albert (703-228-4818), Facility Planner for Arlington county, fire House No. 9 on Walter Reed Drive will re-open at the end of July 1999. after renovations are complete to meet new fire station requiremens. In addition to the fire station improvements, two meeting rooms were added to the structure for use by the community. Until the re-opening, Fire House No. 1 on South Glebe Road will continue to cover No. 9's area.
