Neighborhood Conservation on S. Garfield St.

Upcoming Meeting Schedule

Usually at the Patrick Henry Elementary School Library at 7 PM, check the newsletter for details

Karen Laake, Ken Nagle, and other residents of South Garfield Street have been working hard to get AHCA's first-priority neighborhood conservation project funded — streetlights, curbs, gutters, and (maybe) sidewalks on South Garfield Street between Arlington Boulevard and 2nd Street South. Ken has found that we could increase the priority of our request by completing the revisions to our Neighborhood Conservation Plan that have been pending for several years.

AHCA has had signed petitions for neighborhood conservation projects ready to go for over four years, but the age of the petitions is starting to work against our projects, according to county staff. It may be necessary to repetition these projects as they become our first-priority projects in order to get them funded.
